Is this a PDF password cracker?
No. Easy24 never brute-forces or guesses passwords. It rebuilds PDFs you can already open, removing common owner-permission locks.
What is an owner lock?
A PDF that opens normally but blocks printing, copying, or editing until restrictions are cleared. Unlock saves a rebuilt copy without those permission flags.
What if I do not know the open password?
User-password PDFs that cannot be opened will stay blocked. We cannot recover or crack unknown passwords.
Will unlock remove printing restrictions?
For owner-locked files that open locally, yes: the downloaded PDF is rebuilt without the restriction dictionary. User-password files must decrypt successfully first.
Why does unlock fail on some encrypted PDFs?
A wrong open password is rejected immediately. Some PDFs use compressed object streams that the browser parser cannot decrypt safely, and a few legacy encryption modes are not supported.
