How it works
Upload a marked-up PDF
Drop a PDF with comments, highlights, sticky notes, or link widgets. The tool scans every page and totals how many annotation objects it finds.
Choose pages to clean
Annotated pages are pre-selected. Click thumbnails, type a page range like 2-4, 7, or use Annotated / All / Invert to refine the selection.
Download the clean PDF
Click Remove annotations. Your browser saves a new file with the Annots dictionary removed from the chosen pages: ready to share without visible markup layers.
What is Remove PDF Annotations?
A browser-side cleaner for PDF markup layers. It reads each page's annotation list, shows you where objects remain, and writes a new file with those dictionaries removed from the pages you pick. Useful before sharing reviewed documents or archiving a final copy.

Questions
What counts as a PDF annotation?
Interactive objects stored in the page Annots list: sticky notes, text comments, highlights, underlines, ink markup, stamp annotations, and link widgets. The tool removes that layer from selected pages.
Will flattened or printed-on content disappear?
No. If someone merged markup into the page image or flattened the PDF, that pixels stay. Only live, clickable annotation objects are stripped.
Does this affect fillable form fields?
Form field widgets live in the same Annots list on many PDFs. Removing annotations from those pages can delete visible field boxes even if AcroForm data remains. Clean only the pages you need.
What if my PDF has no annotations?
The scan reports zero objects and the tool asks for a different file. There is nothing to remove, so download stays disabled.
Can I remove annotations from some pages only?
Yes. Click pages in the preview, type a range, or start from the pre-selected annotated pages. Empty selection cleans every page that still has annotations.

When to use Remove PDF Annotations
If you only need Remove PDF Annotations once in a while, a browser page is often enough: set options, get a result, move on. Strip comments, highlights, sticky notes, and link widgets from a PDF in your browser. Contracts, forms, and school handouts are common inputs. Keep originals until you confirm the download looks right on your machine. Search results often mix upload-based converters with local tools. Read the privacy note on this page so you know which model you are using. On Easy24, normal use of this tool keeps processing in your browser. That means the content you paste or the file you pick does not need to be uploaded to finish the job. The free plan allows 5 uses per day and files up to about 10 MB; limits appear before download.
