GIF to APNG turns animated GIFs into animated PNG files in your browser. It is useful when you want richer color or alpha while keeping frame timing, without uploading the file to a converter service.

Questions
What is APNG?
APNG is an animated PNG. The file extension is still .png, but modern browsers and many apps play the frames like a GIF, often with better color and transparency.
Does this keep the full animation?
Yes for GIFs within the frame limit. Each frame and its delay are rebuilt into the APNG. GIFs with more than 120 frames are rejected on the free plan.
Is the output a .png or .apng file?
The download uses the .png extension. That is the normal way to distribute APNG so software recognizes it as PNG with animation chunks.
Will every app play the APNG?
Most current browsers play APNG. Some older image viewers show only the first frame. GIF remains more universal if you need maximum compatibility.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Decoding and encoding stay in your browser. Easy24 does not receive the GIF.
Is there a daily limit?
The free plan allows 5 conversions per day, files up to 10 MB, up to 120 frames, and max width 800px. Preview does not use the daily quota.
How is this different from GIF to PNG?
GIF to PNG exports the first frame as a still PNG. GIF to APNG keeps the animation as an animated PNG.
