What is a whitespace cleaner?
A whitespace cleaner normalises spaces, tabs, and blank lines in plain text. It helps after copying from PDFs, slides, or chat, where extra gaps and hidden characters sneak in. This page runs the cleanup locally so drafts never leave the browser.

What does Whitespace Cleaner do?
It tidies pasted text: extra spaces, trailing spaces, extra blank lines, tabs, and invisible characters such as non-breaking spaces from Word.
How do I use Whitespace Cleaner?
Paste text in the input box. Leave the cleanups you need ticked. Copy the cleaned output on the right of the result label.
Will it join my paragraphs?
No. Spaces are collapsed inside each line. Newlines stay. Squeeze blank lines only turns three or more empty lines into a single blank line.
Does Trim line ends remove indentation?
It only removes spaces at the end of each line. Leading indent stays unless you also collapse spaces, which reduces a run of spaces to one.
What are invisible characters?
Non-breaking spaces, zero-width spaces, and similar Unicode that looks like a normal space but breaks search or code. They are turned into regular spaces, then the other cleanups can collapse them.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. Cleanup runs in this tab.
Is there a daily limit?
No. There is no daily cap on this tool.
