Is this a fast mute without re-encoding?
No. The browser re-encodes the video without audio using MediaRecorder. It takes as long as the clip plays but works without ffmpeg.
What if my clip has no audio?
The tool shows “None found” on the audio badge and blocks download with a clear message. There is nothing to remove.
What format is the output?
Usually WebM in Chrome and Edge. Safari may produce MP4. The exact codec depends on your browser.
