What is a tip calculator?

What is the formula?
Tip = bill × percent ÷ 100. Total = bill + tip. Per person = total ÷ people. Bill each and tip each split those two parts the same way.
How is rounding done?
Each amount is shown to two decimal places. Per person is total ÷ people, then rounded. A few cents can sit in that rounding when you add the shares back up.
Can I type a custom percent?
Yes. The field accepts any non-negative number. Presets only fill the field.
Does this include tax?
No. Put the amount you want to tip on into the bill. If tax is already on the receipt, that is the number to enter.
What if there is one person?
People must be at least 1. With one person, per person equals the total. Bill each and tip each hide.
